Public Records Request Office

This web portal will make it easier for you to request public records and communicate with us about the records you are seeking.

Please be advised that the Secretary of State's office does not hold every record for every state agency. We highly recommend you take a moment to identify the agency most likely to have the records you are looking for.

Click the "Make Request" button to submit a new request to the Public Records Office.

Note: be sure you are requesting an identifiable public record, not data or information. Also, state agencies are not required to create new records to respond to a request.
